Who are we?

Every great video starts with an idea. 

TV is dying. A new unstoppable wave is upon us. The overwhelming rise of digital media is here to stay, and with it comes generations who spend significantly more time online. The digital revolution has undeniably changed the way we consume video forever. This radical shift presents an immense opportunity to reach more people than ever before. Narce Media are a team who have been engrossed throughout the birth of the digital revolution. We deeply understand the value new media channels can bring and the ins and outs of producing successful video. We are tired of the prehistoric way current B2B video is being produced and we’re here to change that.

The Enterprise Hive.

Enterprise Hive – Bootcamp workshop showcase piece.

Aims and Objectives –

To a create a compelling video which showcases the buzz and to build brand awareness for the Hive and BSEEN, an incubator that reaches out to students in Birmingham to help get their business ideas launched. It will be a fast paced, slick video which will include the environment with subsections from participants and trainers to encapsulate all aspects of the bootcamp.

The video series will include: 

  • 1x showcase video
  • 1-2mins in length
  • 2x-3x social snippets
  • 20-30seconds in length.

Desired action from viewer:

  • Feel inspired to engage with their representative from their University to start a business.
  • Sign up for the future workshops
  • Spread the word of the Hive and BSEEN through social media, word of mouth etc. 
  • Have trainers want to apply to support
  • Create a network of mentors

How will we achieve this.

  1. We will plan out the shots we feel would be fitting for the piece.
  2. Scope out the venue (done)
  3. Plan out questions for the participants and subjects
  4. Use in camera transitions.
  5. Give options on the music tracks used.
  6. Develop a call to action for the end of the videos

Interview Questions.

Develop impactful question structure… e.g.

  • What is your business idea?
  • Where do you want to take it?
  • What’s the bootcamp been like?
  • How has it helped you?
  • The quality of the support?
  • The atmosphere around the bootcamp?

For the trainers

  • Why is it important to learn about x?
  • Quality of the businesses on the bootcamp?
  • What’s the importance of incubators like the Hive?
  • What’s been the success stories from these bootcamps?

The key to creating this style of content successfully is allowing a conversation to flow.  When managing an interview, it is imperative to allow it to free flow, this draws answers from people that are more organic, deeper and emotive. Some examples of these styles of questions include:

  • How did that make you feel…?
  • What made you take that action…?
  • What makes you say that…?
  • Why do you think you felt like that…?
  • What’s the why that makes you cry…? – the non-financial driver behind your business.

Visual & Audio design.

Visual

  • A 3 piece camera interview set up shall be used: Core front shot, tight side profile shot, parallaxing mid-range shot – this can then include cropped shots giving you a total of up to 6 angles. The variation of shots ensures engagements is maintained throughout the videos.
  • Where appropriate we would look to integrate animation and/or ‘B-Roll’, supplementary footage to add to the story

Audio

  • Sound FX shall be used where appropriate to draw the viewer deeper into the experience, Some FX could include: – risers, bass drops, appropriate ambient sound 
  • Impactful music tracks
  • Changing music tracks to compliment the mood – e.g. a more sombre sound track during a challenge being depicted and a more uplifting track during an achievement. 

Social Optimisation

  • Subtitles can be added to all versions to ensure maximum engagement for those viewers who are watching without sound. 
  • Ensuring the dimensions of the video are fit for purpose on each social platform, for example: 9:16 ratio for Instagram TV/Stories & 4:5 version for Instagram posts and Facebook posts – see diagram below
  •   Splitting full piece into 30-40 sec chunks where pertinent points are made
